Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does WorkPlay PT take insurance?WorkPlay PT is a cash-based physical therapy and wellness practice. You are responsible for payment for these services. You can request a “superbill” receipt containing all pertinent information to file claims with your insurance company. Out of network physical therapy coverage varies, therefore it is your responsibility to inquire with your insurance company about your specific out-of-network physical therapy benefits and any other pre-authorization needed. I am NOT a Medicare provider.
-
Do I need a doctor's referral or prescription? No, Washington is a direct access state, which means you don’t need a doctor’s referral to see a physical therapist. However, some insurance plans require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement. If you plan on submitting a claim to your insurance, please contact your insurance company to find out specifics on out-of-network physical therapy before your appointment.
